FORT WORTH - Wayne E. Pickering, 47, an Air Force captain, died Sunday in Fort Worth.
Funeral: 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Greenwood Funeral Home.
Burial: Hillside Cemetery in Haverhill, Mass.
Visitation: 6 to 8 tonight at Greenwood Funeral Home.
Memorials: Harris Hospice.
Mr. Pickering was born June 20, 1948, in Haverhill, Mass.
He was a past president and director of the National Department of Transportation Association.
He was a member of the Transportation Club of Fort Worth, the National Defense Transportation Association, a lifetime member of Disabled American Veterans, the Air Force Association and a member of Forest Hill Presbyterian Church.
Survivors: Wife, Pansri Pickering of Fort Worth; parents, J. Edward and Eleanor Pickering of Haverhill, Mass.; brother, Dennis R. Pickering of Orestes, Ind.; and sister, Linda Lashbrook of Greenwood, Ind.

My brother Wayne graduated from Butler University with a Masters Degree and
entered the Air Force as a Second Lieutenant. He served
during the Vietnam War and quickly moved up through the ranks to Captain.
He is survived by his wife, Pansri Pickering of Arlington, Texas.
