ANDERSON — Russell Perio Lindzy, 66, of Anderson, passed away
on the morning of Feb. 14, 2015, at St. Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital.
Russell was born Oct. 8, 1948, in Muncie, to Clarence and Mary
June (Hoel) Lindzy and resided many years in Anderson.
He graduated from Madison Heights High School in 1966 and
served his country in United States Navy.
He was retired from Active USA Truck Transport after 30 years
of service as a member of the Teamsters Union. Russell enjoyed fishing, spending
time with his grandchildren, and fostering rescued Dalmatians. He was also a
longtime volunteer firefighter.
He is survived by one son, Russell Lindzy of Anderson; three
daughters, Jessica Lindzy of Anderson, Emily Lindzy of Anderson and Caitlin
Dapcich of Papillion, Neb.; two sisters, Patricia (Ronn) Mauck of Anderson and
Marcia Lindzy of Rossville, Ga.; six grandchildren, Abigail Lindzy of Nobleville,
Mason Pierce of Alexandria, Mariah Pierce of Alexandria, Aidan Lindzy of
Anderson, Liam Lindzy of Anderson, and Preston Dapcich of Papillion, Neb.; one
nephew; and four nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at
Anderson First Baptist Church officiated by Dr. Art Jaggard.
Visitation with the family will be from noon until the time of
the service on Wednesday.
