... His mother survives in Georgetown, Fla. He was a graduate of Anderson Madison Heights High School, where he won the state golf championship in
1967 and 1968.

Webmaster note: MH did win the Indiana state golf championship in 66-67 and 67-78 but that was with Neal’s younger brother Bill Spannuth. I believe this is an error in the newspaper item.
