He retired from Delco Remy Division of General Motors in 1999, after 33 years
of service.
He was an avid golfer, and had bowled five 300 games in his lifetime. He was
also an avid fisherman who caught Sandy, the one that got away.
He is survived by his wife, Sandy Oster; son, Daniel Oster and wife Linda; a
brother, Jeff Oster; mother-in-law, June and Perry; his stepchildren, Amy
Robarge (and nephews, Brad and Jamie Oster and Ryan Oster), Tom Hosier, Bethany
Hosier and Chris Hosier; grandchildren, Alyssa, Austin and Keygan Robarge,
Braxton and Kiely Hosier, Carly, Rajuailo, Jade, Bianca, Yasmine, Cubie and
Angel Hosier; brothers-in-law, Jerry and Paul Decker; sisters-in-law, Kimberly
Hopper, Nancy and Andy Brough and Joyce and John Hollen; special longtime
friends, Jimmy Patterson, Mike DeLong and Billy Sims; very special friends, Rex
and Janie Durbin and families. He will be missed dearly by several cousins,
nieces and nephews, as well as his family friend pet, Harley.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Helen Oster; his
grandparents, Roberta and Carl Muse and June and George Oster; his sisters, Jana
and Judy Oster; uncle, Bill Muse; and a brother-in-law, Michael Decker.
Visitation will be from 12 to 4
p.m. Wednesday at Robert D. Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, South Chapel,
Cremation will take place following visitation.
Military rites will be conducted by the Veterans of Foreign Wars 266 after
visitation on Wednesday.
