Jane Ellen Jenkins

ANDERSON — Jane Ellen Jenkins, 62, of Anderson, passed away Dec. 24, 2009, at Saint John’s Medical Center, after a sudden illness.

She was born Nov. 10, 1947, in Anderson, the daughter of John E. and Mamie (Lough) Jenkins.

She lived all of her life in Anderson and was working for Anderson Community Schools as a substitute teacher.

Jane Ellen was a member of the Meadowbrook Baptist Church, Cross Roads United Methodist Church, Footloose Singles Club and the Madison County Promenaders Club.

She is survived by her two children, Kira Jenkins of Anderson and Charlie Jenkins of Silverhill, Ala.; and several cousins.

Services will be held at 3 p.m. Monday at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Home, 515 E. 53rd St., Anderson, with the Rev. Mike Harris officiating. Cremation will follow the service.

Friends may call from 1 to 3 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home, to help with expenses.
