Dan Don Arnold, 58, of Anderson, left this earth to begin a new life on July 8, 2006, from his residence.
He was born Dec. 28, 1947, in Muncie, and had been an Anderson resident most of his life.
For 37 years, he was employed as an electrician at General Motors; retiring on July 2, 2006.
He was a former member of the Elks Lodge in Muncie and was a member of AMVETS.
He was an avid Green Bay Packers fan. He had received his private plane pilots license.
Survivors include his wife, Mary (Bauer) Arnold of Anderson, whom he married June 4, 2006, in Anderson; two stepchildren, Chris Daunoras of Panama City, Fla., and Maren Daunoras of Anderson; two brothers, Ted and wife Janice Arnold of Fort Wayne and Phil Arnold of Chesterfield; sisters-in-law, Debby and husband Larry Carmack, ByVonda and husband Frank Thomas and Lorene and husband Dominic Colgan; brother-in-law, Eric and wife Ramona Bauer; mother-in-law, Bonnie Menefee; father-in-law, Larry Bauer; loving companions, Lambeau and Anna Bear; close friends, Jane Wellington and Greg Dollens; and several nieces and nephews.
Dan was preceded in death by his parents, Norman and Vivian (Smuck) Arnold.
A celebration of his life will be held at noon Tuesday at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service, 229 S. Rangeline Road, Anderson, officiated by Pastor Randy Murphy of Cornertone Community Chapel. Cremation was chosen.
Visitation 10 a.m. until noon Tuesday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Madison County Humane Society.
